Brazilian banks and fintechs have built some of the most advanced fraud and credit ML systems outside North America, forced by the country's high transaction volume and fraud pressure. Agritech ML (Climate FieldView, Embrapa partnerships) is uniquely developed. Cost per engineer is roughly a quarter of Bay Area rates, which has attracted remote-first hiring from US firms.
