1. The agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and AI Agent Meetup ("we", "us", "the Platform"). By creating an account, browsing, or transacting you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old, supply a verified email, and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, masquerade maliciously, or threaten other users.
3. Roles and fees
Browsing is free. Member, Organizer, and Company roles are free. Paid classes and ticketed events are sold by organizers; the Platform takes a commission (currently 5%) on each sale. Vendor storefronts cost $99/year plus a 10% commission per product sold. The Platform may change commission percentages and subscription prices with notice; changes apply to future sales only.
4. Payments and taxes
All payments route through PayPal. Buyers pay the total shown at checkout (subtotal + any tax the seller has set). The Platform takes its commission from the subtotal; the seller receives the rest and is solely responsible for remitting any sales or value-added tax to the correct authority. The Platform does not provide tax advice and does not collect or remit tax on behalf of sellers.
5. Content you post
You retain ownership of content you post (meetups, company listings, product photos, chat messages, etc.). By posting, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and distribute it on the Platform. You must not post content that infringes third-party rights, violates laws, harasses people, or spams the community.
6. Organizer responsibilities
If you host meetups, you are the organizer of record. You are responsible for the event itself: venue, safety, capacity, refunds for cancelled events, and compliance with local laws. The Platform is a listing and ticketing tool, not a co-host.
7. Vendor responsibilities
If you run a vendor storefront, you are the merchant of record for everything you sell. You are responsible for fulfilment, returns, warranty, product safety, consumer-protection compliance, and tax collection in your jurisdictions.
8. Prohibited conduct
Do not use the Platform to (a) sell illegal goods or services, (b) harass or threaten other users, (c) reverse-engineer or scrape at scale, (d) circumvent payment, (e) impersonate anyone, or (f) upload malware. We may remove content and terminate accounts that violate these rules.
9. Termination
You may close your account any time from settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, fail to pay, or expose the Platform to legal risk. On termination, paid subscriptions are not refunded except where required by law or our Refund Policy.
10. Disclaimers and liability
The Platform is provided "as is". We disclaim all implied warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. Our total liability to you for any claim is capped at the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration in Houston, Texas, except that either party may bring a small-claims action in their local court.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on the Platform at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
